Thank You to all our family for the wonderful gifts this year, we loved them all! One funny gift we did receive from Chris' mom is a windshield scraper for ice and snow. Great gift mom but we won't be needing that tool in this tropical area! We both got eachother PS2 games, DVDs, CHOCOLATE, board games, books for Chris, more chocolate and candy, and other little snacks from home like beef jerky (yummers). I got an icecream maker that attaches to my KitchenAid. Chris wants icecream and sorbet all the time now, but then so do I! Hmmmm, I can't remember everything at the moment, probably because I'm blogging this so late! We had so much fun with everything that we didn't take that many pictures.
Wish we could have been home with family for the holidays. We miss everyone! There better be a wedding this year at home because we saved the tickets for that specific trip; missed Christmas at home for it! You know who you are. *smile* and a *hug*
There is a picture of us in front of our tree but we have major red-eye. I can't fix it until Chris brings the laptop home; which has my photo program.
New Year's Eve was spent with some friends at their home. It was great because we met new people had some great food both american and japanese, and we watched japanese t.v. and how they celebrate New Year's Eve. We watched a show with a variety of music performances. Most were hilarious to watch because of the cute and cheesy ideas they come up with. For example one of the performances consisted of a stage full of kids dressed in bright colored costumes with a bug puppet on their hand. The entire song was about a bug that bites people in the bum and they would pretend to make the puppet bite their neighbors bum! Apparently it's a popular cartoon show. There was all sorts of music genre throughout the show. After the show we watched different major shrines throughout Japan ringing their bells. The bells will ring 100 times before midnight. The japanese mostly have their celebrations on New Year's Day and visit the shrines.
