Finally the construction across the street is coming to an end! For the last 6 or 8 months we've had to endure LOUD noise and almost constant problems with the construction workers blocking our garage without notice; huge cranes and trucks all down our street! When a building goes up the japanese put up scafolding and a protective screen around the buildling site; I guess you could say it's like a curtain. And when the curtain came down what do we see?
The new and improved ORANGE building?

Here is the old building on the right in the picture below. It was pretty run-down and looked terrible. The house on the left (bars on window due to typhoon reasons- not crime, haha!) is our home; you can also see our little garage.

When the sun hits just right we have quite a bit of organge reflected into our home. There are many other off-colored buildings around here so this one isn't that shocking. From a design prespective I actually think it looks pretty cool! Though it's not everyday you see a bright orange building accross the street from your house. I supose it's only in Japan!
Here is another view of the building from our front yard. We are not sure yet if this is a residential or commercial building. It may be an addition to the print shop next door to us; building on the left in the above picture. Anyway, we'll have to post more fun Japan stuff soon.
